Abstract

The 1.8 angstrom resolution crystal structure of Lactobacillus sanfrancisensis and the MALDI-TOF analysis of ligands released from enzyme are reported. A comparison of the results is done with similar analytical studies and homology modeling of Lactococcus lactis and the x-ray structure reveals presence of active site cysteine sulfenic acid, which shows two alternate confirmations.
