Abstract
- An analysis of apolipoprotein J (apoJ) that contains high density lipoproteins reveals its specific association with human plasma's paraoxonase, both in vitro and in vivo. The apoJ-paraoxonase mole ratio is constant at 8:2:1, validating the specificity of the apoJ-paraoxonase reaction. Introduction of apoJ into apoJ-deficient plasma causes removal of apoJ and paraoxonase by an anti-apoJ affinity region that maintains the mole ratio.
