Abstract
- The ability of alkylating electrophiles to inhibit protein phosphatases is examined, applying model electrophile probes that exhibit chemistries relevant to diverse biological reactive intermediates. The identification of specific sites linked to protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) inactivation suggests that specific assays for abducted forms of these sequences could provide a general means of screening PP2A inhibitors.
