Abstract

The sale of signature T-shirts and other activewear is becoming big business for gyms and health clubs in New York, NY. Offerings include baseball caps, hooded sweatshirts and over-sized mesh shorts. One of the health clubs most involved in the sale of activewear is Crunch, which sells its own private label apparel, in addition to Avia and Nike products, at its three locations. Crunch's Doug Levine says that apparel sales help the company with its overhead expenses.<br />NEW YORK -- Health clubs and gyms here are actively moving into activewear.
