Journalists could face two years in jail

Their reports contain information on an economic secret that could not be disclosed until it received the government's approval. An article in the Jun 29, 1993 'Business Times' reveals the second-quarter growth of 4.6%. If adjudged guilty, the accused will have to spend two years in jail and pay a fine of 2,000 Singapore dollars.
