Abstract

The electrical resisitivity and x-ray diffraction measurements for the MMX-chain complex, [Pt.sub.2][(dtp).sub.4)]I were performed under high pressure. The suppression of the metal-insulator transition to 70 K, the lowest known for any one-dimensional purely d-electronic conductors based on transition-metal complexes at 2.2 GPa is observed.
