Regulation of the catechol 1,2-dioxygenase- and phenol monooxygenase-encoding pheBA operon in Pseudomonas putida PaW85

The chromosomal catR gene mediates transcription of the phenol monooxygenase- and catechol 1,2-dioxygenase encoding pheBA operon within PEST 1226, in Pseudomonas putida PaW85. Expression analysis of the deletion subclones obtained from PAT1140 indicates that a regulatory protein chromosomally encoded in P. putida mediates the transcription of the PheBA operon. cis,cis-muconate incites the preparation of catechol 1,2-dioxygenase and plasmid encoded phenol monooxygenase.
