Abstract
- The market for binoculars includes consumers involved with birding, spectating, hunting, hiking and backpacking. However, this broad range of possible sales is not reflected in retail sporting goods business. A major reason given for the situation is the limitation imposed by some retailers in selling the product for specific groups. Binocular vendors should consider cross-merchandising techniques to attract more customers in the market.<br />Vendors are promoting the cross-merchandising opportunities that binoculars offer for spectator sports and other activities.
