Abstract

Citizens who vote for the winning candidate in a House election would be systematically more likely to have higher evaluations of said candidate relative to voters who vote for the losing candidate. This proposition is tested with the use of the American National Election Study (ANES) cumulative file with survey data from 1948-2000.
