Widespread 3d seismic survey covers mature field in Gabon

Elf Gabon decided to update the seismic data available for the Port Gentil region of Gabon by performing an extensive three-dimensional seismic survey of the Ile Mandji prospect area. The survey utilized Differential Global Positioning Systems, including a portable unit for use in urban areas. The testing was carefully planned with an emphasis on safety and cooperation with the local authorities and citizens.
