Abstract

The American Society of Agricultural Engineers is thinking of incorporating biological engineering into its profession as a discipline. The Emerging Technologies Division of the society examines the impact of biological engineering on applications, employment and education. New ground will be broken in many fields, including biocompatible materials, biomechanics, food culture and processing.
