Abstract
- The reaction between an oligonucleotide third strand and a duplex nucleic acid series is seen in triple-helical conformations as a therapeutic strategy in the 'antigene' approach. The activity of a selected gene is directly controlled by the triple helix created from the cellular duplex and an incorporated third strand. The nucleic acid triple-helical interactions restrict constancy, limiting the method due to the replacements of methylphosphonate or phosphorothioate in the backbone alterations in the third strand.
