Abstract

Receptors which are coupled by the G-protein form the receptors for gastrointestinal peptides. An antagonist which is a receptor of cholecystokinin is observed in dibutyryl guanosine 3',5'cyclic monophosphate, resulting in several varying gastrointestinal peptides requiring different receptor antagonists. The receptors for gastrointestinal peptides are categorized while the complication control of gastrointestinal mechanism is clarified by the antagonists. Therapeutic potential is seen in some antagonists. The classification of gastrointestinal peptides is done by their reaction with the receptors, with each group having a particular receptor antagonist.
