Abstract
- The general theory for effect of laser fields on atom-diatom molecular collisions in bimolecular systems resulting in atom-radiation interactions, is developed using the multipolar gauge on the basis of gauge invariance. An application of this theory is presented through the study of rovibrational energy transfer in Ar+CO collisions in the presence of an intense laser field with both the adiabatic and nonadiabatic cases produce similar interaction pictures.
