Abstract

A study presents a robust channel-order estimation algorithm that will work over a wide range of signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) and correlated channels. The performance is clearly superior to the minimum description length (MDL) algorithm that operates within a small range of SNRs and fails completely when the channels are correlated.
