Abstract

Study is conducted to evaluate the efficacy of first-line highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) guided by genotypic resistance testing by comparing treatment outcomes of patients with drug-sensitive HIV to outcomes of patients with primary resistance. HAART guided by resistance testing had similar efficacy in patients with primary drug resistance as compared with patients with wild-type virus.
