Abstract
- The study of some of the crucial issues confronting the academic and educational enterprise variously called, African American Studies, Black Studies and Africology is presented. It is believed that Afrocentricity is generally opposed to any idea that would supplant the centrality or the agency of Africans in an analysis of African phenomena and therefore it becomes a severe critique and corrective of the Eurocentric paradigm.
