Introduction to FANUC CELL 60 and its application on map based large manufacturing FA system for 72 hour continuous unmanned operation: a case study

The objective of unmanned operation is to automatically perform stable, high quality machining for extended period in machine factories. This paper introduces a case study of current 72 h unmanned operation of a flexible automation system. Further, an application example of expanding existing MAP based Flexible Manufacturing System to 72 h unmanned system is introduced.
