Abstract
- Studies indicating the nonproteolytic implication of proteolytic complex proteasome, in the regulation of transcription in the eucaryotic cells, are reviewed. Studies have revealed that proteasome, otherwise known for degrading proteins by attaching ubiquitin in the proteasome pathway, can be modulated by phosphorylation or other means for additional regulation of transcription.
