Old carbonate sediments

Abstract: Carbon sediments in Precambrian rocks indicate environmental change and biological evolution. The biologic and abiotic processes involved in the carbon sediment formation cannot be distinguished. An examination of the two processes has furnished new data to help record environmental change, which requires non-uniformitarian models of Earth evolution.
