Abstract
- The transition to Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) clients must be handled smoothly and the interoperability between the Internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) and IPv6 clients must be addressed when IPv6 clients are introduced into an established IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) IPv4 network. Key technical challenges faced by both wireless and wireline service providers in deploying IMS services are illustrated and solutions are offered.
