Abstract
- Laser absorption analysis of particle number densities of Xe+* and He*, the excited components, is possible with a continuous wave dye laser which revealed that the main reaction of the formation of XeCl* is the three-body ion-ion recombination. This recombination is observed in transversal discharge excimer lasers of XeCl. Low Xe+* ion densities do not determine the output energy of the low specific laser of the longitudinal discharge laser.
