Abstract

The process of hydrothermal preparation is employed in the synthesis of a novel vanadium phosphate with varying valences. Solitary crystal X-ray diffraction and magnetic susceptibility calculations are used to determine its properties. The geometry is seen as being elongated and derived from a VOPO4-like layer with the P-OH group, and V3+ octahedra accepted the ends of the elongated structure. Two varying areas for the K+ cations are yielded due to the piling of the layers, and are observed inside the layers and between two layers.
