Abstract

The study of the economic and tertiary sector in Greece, prior to World War II, during which the country had existed as an independent state is discussed. The growth of the tertiary sector as a percentage of GDP in Greece in comparison with the corresponding figures in some European countries like those of Germany, Italy and France is examined.
