Abstract
- Young entrepreneurs and partners Richard Coates and Hugh O'Boyle began searching for a spot to open a restaurant in summer 1992. They opted for an empty dress shop in London's Primrose Hill and offered 25,000 pounds sterling for the lease. They then devised a business plan to help raise the 150,000 pounds sterling they needed for the venture. Once finance was secured they created a a bistro-style ground floor area and a more formal restuarant upstairs. The restaurant, called 'Big Night Out' opened in July 1993. Turnover for first year trading and profit is forecast at some 500,000 pounds sterling and around 8,000 pounds sterling respectively.
