Postmodern politics and policy sciences

A rejoinder to Richard French's 1992 Manion lecture on policy sciences in the postmodern world is presented. The postmodern government focuses more on the relationships and processes to solve social problems instead of utilizing rationality. The trend of influencing public policy by means of data gathering mechanisms such as public opinion polls, lobbying and surveys emerged two hundred years ago.
