Abstract
- An overall response in light of the commentaries given on the study of the distinctions between mental-model based reasoning and logic drawn from formal rules of inference is given. The underlying argument of the research is that the task of deduction is in itself a semantic process, which is achieved through mental-model construction rather than applying inference rules.
