Abstract
- The molecular diversity of the nifH gene is characterized by nested PCR amplification using degenerate primers, followed by cloning and sequencing, in order to understand the structure of marine diazotrophic communities in the tropical and subtropical Atlantic Ocean. The results have shown that some diazotrophic phylotypes, specifically unicellular group A, might be common between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.
