Combat SAR: Options and equipment

The function and principles of combat search and rescue (CSAR) mission, by locating the personnel and recovering them under virtually all geographic and climatic conditions is presented. It is concluded that advanced technologies, well-trained crews, real-time intelligence along with creativity and improvisation capabilities by the commanders are very much essential for the successful execution of the CSAR mission.
