Restoring a neighborhood: radium cleanup eases fears, rebuilds community

Camp Dresser and McKee Inc was contracted to conduct radon mitigation and soil remediation on radium-contaminated sites in Essex County, NJ. The sites were previously enmeshed in lengthy environmental cases which normally accompany soil-radiation scenarios. Besides fulfilling their mitigation and remediation duties, Camp Dresser and McKee also adopted a comprehensive environmental approach that integrated community relations into the project.
