Abstract

Changes in the electromagnetic characteristics of fine filament NbTi composites due to filament diameter, filament spacing and losses in critical current density were investigated. Derived theoretical results were experimentally verified by a sample series involving modern ultrafine NbTi multifilamentary compositescombined with sheet-type artificial pinning centers. Smaller experimental values were obtained compared to its theoretical counterparts.
