Abstract

The experimental operation of a 100-m half cell for a superconducting super collider are reported. The tests on the 50-mm apeture magnet string, which are known as the Accelerator System String Test, involves data acquisition on operating procedures and parameters to supplement information obtained from test runs of a 17-m half cell with a 40-mm aperture. The 100-m long half cell is at the N-15 facility in Waxahachie, TX.
