Abstract

Finistere in north-west Brittany is finding new uses for seaweed, which originally was used only as fertilizer and to make iodine. Natural Es 401 - 107 are being used to thicken youghurt and ice cream, as an ingredient in cosmetics and even brewers are flavouring their beer with seaweed.
