Abstract
- B.J. Skelton has withdrawn his candidacy as president of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Skelton, the NCAA secretary-treasurer has been linked to alleged NCAA rule violations at Clemson University, where he is the dean of admissions and registration. Sports officials have demanded his withdrawal so as not to damage the NCAA's reputation. The NCAA has accused Clemson of falsely certifying the elegibility of a basketball player in 1989.
