High proportion of T-Cell systemic Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in HIV-infected patients in Lima, Peru

Abstract: A report that describes the clinical and pathological characteristics of HIV-related systemic non-Hodgkin lymphoma (sNHL) in developing countries like Lima and Peru is presented. A high proportion of T-cell sNHL cases were found at an HIV reference-center in Peru, though B-cell and T-cell lymphoma patients had similar clinical characteristics, T-cell lymphoma was less aggressive and had a better survival rate than those of B-cell lymphoma.
