Complex ac susceptibility studies of the disordered molecular based magnets V(TCNE)x: role of spinless solvent

The influence of spinless solvent on the magnetic characteristics of V(TCNE) was investigated using temperature dependent ac susceptibility above 2.3 K. The results showed that the coordinating ability of the spinless solvent was a major factor in the magnetism of V(TCNE). These effects were brought about by the decrease in the number of nearest neighbor spin sites, reduced connectedness and the altered structural order.
