Abstract

A study was conducted to examine the microscopic characteristics of fluid dynamics and heat conduction. The study considers an evaporating extended meniscus of heptane which is developed between a horizontal substrate and a washer set at minimal heat fluxes. Results show that fluid flow and evaporation exhibit importance as dimensionless parameters of the intermolecular force field.
