Financial justification of JIT implementation

Businesses in the United States were surveyed about the financial effects of implementing Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management. Seven effects of implementation were identified and related to return on investment, cost reduction and increased service as criteria for financial success. The firms, representing a wide range of manufacturing industry, measured considerable improvements following implementation of JIT and these correlate to better financial performance.
