Optimal erasure protection strategy for scalably compressed data with tree-structured dependencies

The dependency structures for scalable data sources and the erasure model are explored. An unequal erasure protection which is able to take advantage of scalable data with more general dependency structures is adapted to data with tree-structured dependencies.
