Abstract
- Voltammetry, coulometry, optical spectroelectrochemistry and electron spin resonance spectroscopy are used to study the redox properties of the 30-e triple-decker complexes. The results indicate the presence of a specific electron-transfer series and electronic spectra within the 300-2,000 nm range is also obtained using an optically transparent thin-layer electrolysis cell. The presence of group III and V atoms in the bridge is also observed in all reasonably stable odd-electron triple deckers.
