Abstract: Jamesway Corp's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in Jul 1993 did not surprise very many individuals in the industry. The discount retailer had shown signs of financial problems for awhile and vendors began stopping shipments to Jamesway. The company has gained a $75 million credit from CIT Group/Business Credit that will allow it to operate during its reorganization.
