Abstract
- Electroporation was used to construct isogenic mutants of Haemophilus ducreyi. The electroporation of both linear and circular DNA molecules resulted in the isolation of antibiotic-resistant transformants. The efficiency of elimination of MAb reactivity was much higher with the linearized form of the mutated plasmid compared with the circular form. Homologous recombination of the mutated alleles into the chromosome also occurred when linear, recombinant DNA molecules were electroporated into H. ducreyi.
