Abstract

The synthesis and structural characterization of (Au2(micro-S(CH2)3S)(micro-dppm)) were reported. In the three related 1,2-dithiolene complexes (Au2(micro-MNT)(PPh3)2), (Au2(micro-S2C6H4)(PPh3)2) and the tetranuclear complex (Au4(micro-S2C6H3-CH3)2(PEt3)2), an asymmetrical bonding not found in the saturated systems or in the closely related bis(phosphine)(1,1-dithiolato)gold(I) complexes is also described.
