Abstract
- The stereoselective radical addition reactions of four alkenes are investigated to elucidate on the relationship between auxiliary structure, free radical reaction type and selectivity. Selectivity is analyzed via the solid-state conformations of the alkenes. Structural analysis is based on the polar coordinates of groups relative to the alkene core undrgoing addition. The conformation of the alkene obviously affects the conformation of analogous radicals.
