Abstract
- The functionality of the terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (T-RFLP) method is expanded by automating the task of phylogenetic assignment from the T-RF profiles produced by multiple digests. The use of multiple digests increases the specificity of polygenetic inferences derived from the T-RFLP profiles, and automation of this task makes this type of analysis accessible for analysis of complex communities.
