Abstract
- The Emerging Issues Committee (EIC) has received a substantial number of questions regarding basic issues related to the accounting profession and also on the EIC's basic operational role. The committee assumes a basic role ofmanaging accounting issues which affect accounting practices. EIC is composed of 14 members, where 12 are selected by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the rest are proposed by the Financial Executives Institute Canada.
