Forensic engineering: lack of reinforced-concrete walls cited in earthquakes building failures

The research findings on seven major earthquakes, which had rocked Turkey since 1992, reveals that, absence of interior reinforced-concrete walls, lead to the collapse of most of the school buildings. The research was conducted separately by universities in Turkey and United States.
