J.B. Hunt, Santa Fe to launch new service May 3

Abstract: Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co and J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc (Hunt) will launch a new intermodal service on May 3, 1993. The new service, which will be offered in the Midwestern states and California, will utilize Hunt's new container fleet. In addition, the intermodal service will offer the new 'pin' lift technology at no extra cost for shipping customers. The companies hope to encourage increased use of the technology by offering free of charge in the new service.
