Abstract
- A study examines 'techno-sensibility' by seeking to identify an attitude towards history and a narrative mode that avoid the excesses and simplifications of utopia and dystopia, engaging instead with the diversity of critical responses to the late capitalist culture. Don DeLillo's 1984 novel 'White Noise' is used as a seminal literary exploration of ordinary, banal interactions with technology in everyday life.
