Abstract
- Microelectrodes that exhibited structural sizes reaching 400 nanometers in diameter were successfully made from flame-etched carbon fibers. Subsequent application of poly(oxyphenylene) coatings facilitated the copolymerization of phenol and 2-allylphenol on the surface of the electrode. The polymer deposition time, electrodeposition solution pH and phenol-allylphenol concentration were found to significantly affect the outcome of the insulating copolymer film.
